Prashant Veer Marathi News: IPL 2026 Mini Auction (IPL Mini Auction 2026) is taking place in Abu Dhabi. Australia’s star all-rounder Cameron became the most expensive player in this mini auction. KKR bought him for Rs 25.20 crore. Apart from him, all the franchises bid big on players who have performed well in domestic cricket for India. In this series, Chennai Super Kings 20-year-old Prashant Veer and 19-year-old Karthik Sharma were bought. CSK spent Rs 14.20 crore each for both the players.

Both these players have performed exceptionally well in domestic cricket. Hence, they spent money on Prashant Veer. His original price in the auction was Rs 30 lakh, but CSK finally bought him for Rs 14.20 crore. Now, these two players have become joint costliest uncapped players. Talking about Prashant Veer, he is a left-arm spinner all-rounder who is considered as a long-term alternative to Ravindra Jadeja. Before the auction, CSK sold Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Karan to Rajasthan Royals instead of Sanju Samson.

Prashant Vir’s performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Prashant Veer is a 20-year-old all-rounder from Uttar Pradesh. He has impressed everyone with his performance in the ongoing domestic tournament, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He has taken nine wickets in seven innings so far in this domestic T20 tournament. He has played an important role for the team through batting when needed. He scored an unbeaten 40 off 26 balls against Bihar and an unbeaten 37 off 10 balls against Jammu and Kashmir in the first match.

Prashant Veer gave a trial for CSK

Earlier, Prashant Veer made headlines for the first time when he played for Noida Super Kings in the UP T20 League. He then impressed scouts during the SMATs. CSK invited Veer for a trial, where he impressed the CSK management. They have now bought him at auction for a huge price.
