New Delhi. Team India would like to write a new history when it takes part in the fourth match of the five-match T20 series against South Africa today. The fourth match of the series is to be played today i.e. on Wednesday 17th December at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Team India is leading 2-1 in the series. If the Indian team is successful in winning this match then the series will also be won. With this a new history will be written. South Africa has not yet lost the five-match T20 series, but now it can happen. There is every possibility of this happening either in Lucknow or in Ahmedabad on 19th December.
In fact, South Africa has played a five-match T20 series only twice in the history of T20 International cricket. Out of these, once the team has won that series, while one series has been drawn 2-2, but for the first time the South African team is in danger of losing a five-match T20 series. South Africa has won a five-match T20 series against the West Indies by 3-2, while the series with India has been tied at 2-2, but a defeat in Lucknow and Ahmedabad will spoil South Africa’s record.
If Team India wins this fourth T20 or the last T20 match to be held on December 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the team will win the series. This will be India’s second T20 series win at home against South Africa. Before this, India has won a T20 series against South Africa in 2022-23. However, before this, Team India had not won a single series at home against South Africa. Captain Suryakumar Yadav has a chance to write a new history. At the same time, the South African team can still make a comeback. In such a situation, the match to be held in Lucknow is expected to be very exciting.
