New Delhi: Dense fog and smog have severely polluted the atmosphere in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). The rising pollution levels are making it difficult for people to even leave their homes, leading to a worsening situation. The Delhi government has mandated that 50 percent of employees in government and private institutions work from home.

This decision has been taken to reduce pollution levels and decrease the number of vehicles on the roads. Instructions have also been issued to impose heavy fines on institutions that violate these rules.

Under the GRAP-3 regulations, the Delhi government will provide a compensation of ₹10,000 to registered construction workers affected by the ban on construction activities. Delhi Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra announced that starting tomorrow, 50 percent work from home will be mandatory for all government and private institutions in Delhi.
