YONO App Update: The country’s largest public bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a new version of its digital platform YONO 2.0 Has been launched. This upgraded platform combines mobile banking and internet banking on a single system, giving more than 50 crore customers a faster, secure and convenient digital banking experience than ever before. SBI aims to make digital services affordable as well as provide personalized banking facilities to customers through YONO 2.0.
Mobile and internet banking now on one system
In YONO 2.0, mobile app and internet banking are integrated into a single banking architecture. This means that customers will now be able to access banking services from mobile, laptop or desktop without any interruption. According to SBI, the new interface not only improves the user experience but also strengthens security and personalization. This will provide a uniform and smooth experience across all digital channels.
KYC and re-KYC process becomes easier
The most important feature of YONO 2.0 is its simple KYC and re-KYC system. Now customers will not need to do KYC again and again for different services. SBI says that this will reduce the problems faced during digital onboarding and will speed up the process of opening accounts for new customers. Especially those users who are moving towards digital banking for the first time will benefit.
Range of languages will increase, YONO will reach every area
At present YONO 2.0 is available in English and Hindi languages, but SBI has made it clear that in the coming time it will be extended to 15 Indian languages in a phased manner. Its objective is to make digital banking more accessible in different states and regions of the country. With increased language support, customers in rural and semi-urban areas will also be able to get full benefit of digital services.

Emphasis on sustainability features and digital growth
Keeping sustainability in mind, new features like carbon footprint tracking and green score have been added to YONO 2.0. During the launch, SBI Chairman “C S Setty” Said that the cost of adding customers through digital platforms is much lower. Currently, YONO has around 9.6 crore users and the bank is planning to increase this number further in the coming time. Today YONO has become an important digital medium of SBI for everything from opening a savings account to personal loan.
