Tilak Verma-Varun Chakraborty overtake Machay Dhamaal, Sahebzada Farhan and Jos Buttler in ICC T20I Rankings

Tilak played innings of 26, 62 and 26 not out respectively in the first three matches of the ongoing T-20 International series against South Africa. With this, he left behind Pakistan’s Sahebzada Farhan and England’s Jos Buttler in the rankings. Indian batsman Abhishek Sharma remains at No. 1 in the rankings, followed by England’s Phil Salt and Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka. In January this year, Tilak had reached second place in the rankings, which was the best of his career.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav is now on the verge of being out of the top 10. Has reached number 10 with a rating of 669. Now failure in one more innings will take Surya out of the top 10.

South Africa’s Aiden Markram, who played a brilliant inning of 61 runs in the third T20 against India, has come to 29th place and Quinton de Kock, who played the winning inning of 90 runs in the second match, has come to 53rd place.

Whereas Varun, who took 6 wickets in the first three matches, remains at the first position, he has got 36 points and career best 818 points.

The fast bowlers of both the teams have also gained in the rankings. Left-arm Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has reached 16th position, South African fast bowler Marco Jansen has reached 25th position and Lungi Ngidi has reached 44th position.
