Amidst this controversy, the matter became more serious when it came to light that the female doctor Nusrat Praveen, allegedly hurt by this incident, had decided not to join the job. While the opposition is demanding apology and resignation from Nitish Kumar, the Hindu-Muslim debate has also intensified with this episode.
Case of removal of hijab in AYUSH program
This whole controversy started when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar approached the female doctor Nusrat Praveen present on the stage at a program organized for AYUSH doctors and removed her hijab. This program was being telecast live and within some time its video went viral on social media. As soon as the video surfaced, there was a flood of reactions from political parties, social organizations and common people.
Nusrat Praveen in shock, refuses to join job
Now a new twist has emerged in this matter. While talking to an English media organisation, Nusrat Praveen’s brother said that this incident has left his sister in deep mental trauma. He said that Nusrat was to assume her post on December 20, but she is still in shock and is not in a position to go to work. According to her brother, this incident has deeply hurt Nusrat’s self-esteem and she is unable to forget it. She clearly said that unless she comes out of this trauma, it will not be possible to return to her job.
The family tried to convince, but the decision remained intact
Nusrat Praveen’s brother also told that the family is trying to convince him that he should not suffer the loss of his career for this mistake. Despite this, due to the injury to her self-esteem, Nusrat has retreated for the time being. According to the information, Nusrat’s brother lives in Kolkata and is a professor in a Government Law University.
Second video viral on social media is also in discussion
Meanwhile, another video about Nitish Kumar is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video, a young man is seen raising questions about the behavior of the Chief Minister. In which a reporter tells a young man from Bihar that Nitish Kumar was in a good mood, hence the joke, after which the video has come into controversy. The young man says what are you talking about? Our mood is very good so kiss me. What are you talking about? Further in the video, the young man claims that in that video you have only seen Mangal Pandey taking off the hijab and laughing, now who will tell us that no one will take off the hijab of girls going to school.
It further says that a girl’s scarf and an Indian woman’s saree pallu are a mark of respect, similarly in the Muslim religion, Hijab is a mark of respect for women. When the pallu was pulled in Hindu religion, Mahabharata had happened. Similarly, Nitish Kumar pulled the hijab in a big gathering, further the young man says that there is something called protocol pulling. It cannot be that Nitish did not know how many Muslims and Hindus were to be given appointment letters, so he would have informed everyone in advance that no one should come to the Indian Day wearing hijab and saffron. This claim is according to the video going viral on social media.
In the video, the young man also says that when the pallu was pulled in Hindu religion, Mahabharata happened, similarly removing hijab on a public platform is also wrong. After the hijab controversy, the opposition has directly attacked Nitish Kumar. Some parties are demanding a public apology from the Chief Minister, while some have even demanded his resignation, linking it to women’s respect and religious freedom. At the same time, supporters say that the whole matter is being blown out of proportion.
