After the case was registered, Udaipur Police took action and brought Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambar Bhatt from Mumbai to Udaipur on transit remand. Here the police interrogated both of them and produced them in the court, from where they were sent to jail in judicial custody.
During the hearing in the court, both the accused had demanded final bail citing health reasons, but the court refused to grant bail on the basis of facts and case diary. Along with this, the court issued orders to send both of them to judicial custody for 14 days.
