Expressway will pass through 6 districts of Bihar, good news for the people!

Patna. A big and relief news has come for the people of Bihar. The Greenfield Expressway (NE-09) connecting Patna to Purnia is now rapidly moving towards completion. Preparations for the construction of this ambitious project have been intensified at the departmental level and the process of land acquisition has also progressed.

This expressway will start from Sarai area of ​​Vaishali district and will reach Purnia via many important districts of North Bihar. This route passing through a total of six districts will not only reduce travel time but will also give a new direction to regional development.

Large scale land acquisition will take place in six districts

A total of about 2184 hectares of land is to be acquired for the Patna-Purnia Expressway. The details of land acquisition in different districts have already been decided. Maximum 414 hectares of land will be acquired in Saharsa district. Apart from this, about 614 hectares of land in Samastipur, about 493 hectares in Purnia, 355 hectares in Vaishali, 164 hectares in Madhepura and about 143 hectares in Darbhanga will come under the purview of acquisition.

The process of land acquisition will be transparent

Land acquisition for the Greenfield Expressway will be initiated under the 3-A process. First of all, Khesra will be published in the concerned revenue villages. According to officials, the land of each Khesra will be evaluated by a high level committee and it will be made public, so that the entire process remains transparent.

Development and connectivity will get a boost

Patna–Purnia Greenfield Expressway can prove to be a gamechanger for North Bihar. This will not only make transportation between Patna and Seemanchal easier, but will also create new opportunities for trade, industry and employment. Sectors related to education, health and agriculture are also expected to directly benefit from better road connectivity.
