‘Nitish’s real face has been revealed’, Omar Abdullah angry over pulling hijab; Reminder of Mehbooba Mufti
Omar Abdullah Statement on Nitish Kumar Hijab Controversy: The issue of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar removing the hijab of a female doctor has now taken a big political turn. Now Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has entered this controversy. While making a scathing attack on Nitish Kumar, he has said that the leaders who were once considered an example of secularism, are now slowly showing their true colors. Abdullah has described this incident as completely wrong and insulting.
This whole controversy started when Nitish Kumar was distributing appointment letters to newly appointed employees in a felicitation ceremony. Meanwhile, on the stage, he tried to remove the niqab of a Muslim female doctor, the video of which went viral on social media. After this act, many Muslim organizations and leaders have expressed strong objection and a complaint has also been lodged against them. Amidst the criticism, Omar Abdullah’s statement is making the matter more heated.
Old story and sharp joke
Talking to journalists, Omar Abdullah said that removing the veil of a female doctor in this manner cannot be justified under any circumstances. Reminiscing about the old days, he said that we have seen this before also. Have you forgotten when Mehbooba Mufti got a voter’s burqa removed? That was also wrong and what Nitish Kumar did today is equally wrong. He said that if the Chief Minister did not want to hand over the appointment letter to the woman, he could have kept her aside, but insulting her publicly is completely wrong.

The minister said – this is love
On one hand, everyone is criticizing the CM, on the other hand, Mohammad Jama Khan, the only Muslim minister of Nitish government, has come out in his defence. He said that people are misinterpreting things. That woman is like his daughter and what the CM did was a gesture of affection. Jama Khan claimed that Nitish Kumar respects all castes and religions and respects the minority community a lot, hence it should not be seen in a wrong light. Taking aim at his opponents, he said that the level of today’s leaders has fallen.
