How does the squad of Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata look after IPL 2026 auction? See which team is the strongest

The mini auction of IPL 2026 was completed on 16 December 2025 in Abu Dhabi. A total of 77 players were sold, including 29 foreigners. All the teams together spent around Rs 215 crore. The most expensive deal was that of Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 25.20 crore. The wait of cricket fans is over. Most expensive deals in auction

There was tremendous bidding on big players in the auction, in which Cameron Green became the most expensive player. Mathisha Pathirana goes to KKR for 18 crores. Apart from this, Liam Livingstone (SRH, 13 crores), Prashant Veer and Karthik Sharma (CSK, 14.20 crores each – uncapped record), Josh Inglis (LSG, 8.60 crores), Ravi Bishnoi (RR, 7.20 crores) and Venkatesh Iyer (RCB, 7 crores).

Mumbai Indians team

Mumbai had less purse, yet they got Quinton de Kock back for Rs 1 crore. Now the Mumbai Indians team includes Hardik Pandya (captain), Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Tilak Verma, Mitchell Santner, Ryan Rickleton, Robin Minz, Raj Bawa, Raghu Sharma, Mitchell Santner, Corbin Bosch, Naman Dheer, Allah Ghafanjar, Ashwini Kumar, Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Will Jack, Sherfane Rutherford, Shardul. Thakur, Quinton de Kock, Mayank Markande, Danish Malewar, Mohammad Izhar, Mayank Rawat and Atharva Ankolekar. The team’s batting and bowling are looking strong.

Chennai Super Kings team

CSK played a big bet on young players. Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma were taken for a record Rs 14.20 crore each. Rahul Chahar came for 5.20 crores. Sarfaraz Khan also joined.

Now CSK team includes Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ayush Mhatre, MS Dhoni, Sanju Samson, Dewald Brevis, Urvil Patel, Shivam Dubey, Jamie Overton, Noor Ahmed, Khalil Ahmed, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Anshul Kamboj, Gurjapaneet Singh, Akeal Hosein, Prashant Veer, Karthik Sharma, Shreyas Gopal, Mukesh Chaudhary, Nathan Ellis, Matthew Short, Aman Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, Jack Foulkes and Rahul Chahar.

Kolkata Knight Riders team

KKR was most active in the mini auction. Spent heavily on Green and Pathirana. Finn Allen, Rahul Tripathi, Mustafizur Rahman, Rachin Ravindra also came.

Now in the KKR team, Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Anukul Roy, Harshit Rana, Manish Pandey, Ramandeep Singh, Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Umran Malik, Rovman Powell, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakraborty, Mathisha Pathirana, Tejasvi Singh, Finn Allen, Karthik Tyagi, Prashant Solanki, Tim Seifert, Mustafizur Rahman, Rahul Tripathi, Sarthak Ranjan, Daksh Kamra, Rachin Ravindra, Akash Deep and Cameron Green.

After the auction all the teams have become stronger. The next season will start from March 2026, where new players will be seen showing their strength.
