Pak captain Salman Aga could not tolerate defeat from India

Team India has won the title of Asia Cup 2025. This is the ninth time that India has won the Asia Cup title. Pakistan looked bewildered throughout the Asia Cup. He lost every match with India. This is also the reason why Pakistani players were seen losing their temper. This irritation was clearly visible in the final match also. Pakistan team captain Salman Aga could not digest the defeat at the hands of India and threw away the runner-up check he received in front of everyone.

During the post-match presentation ceremony, Aga took the runner-up check from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) representative Aminul Islam and then turned around and threw it on the ground. After this the crowd booed loudly.

Salman Aga was completely stunned by the defeat. He said it is hard to bear right now. But I think we didn’t perform well with the bat and bowling, I think we were brilliant. I think that was the reason why we couldn’t score what we wanted.

On the Indian team not being given the Asia Cup after refusing to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council President and Pakistan Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi, captain Suryakumar Yadav said that the winning team is remembered, not the trophy.

The Indian team defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the Asia Cup final on Sunday. There was tension between the two teams throughout the tournament in the backdrop of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the subsequent Operation Sindoor by the Government of India.

Suryakumar said in the press conference after the match, “I have never seen before that the winning team was not given a trophy, but for me my players and support staff are the real trophy.” The Indian team did not shake hands with Pakistani players throughout the tournament. India played three matches against Pakistan in the tournament and won all three.
