AAP’s storm in rural elections of Punjab, people expressed confidence in ‘politics of work’ – Kejriwal

Punjab Rural Elections: In the Zilla Parishad and Block Committee elections held in Punjab, the public has expressed confidence in the ‘politics of work’ of the Aam Aadmi Party. In this election, AAP has made a clean sweep by winning 70 percent seats.

AAP has won 250 Zilla Parishad seats and more than 1800 Block Committee seats. It is clear from these election results that the wind is blowing in favor of AAP in Punjab and the people are very happy with the work of AAP government. After the election results on Wednesday, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said these things while holding a press conference with CM Bhagwant Singh Mann at Mohali Club on Thursday.

‘War against drugs’ campaign launched in Punjab

Arvind Kejriwal said that for the first time ‘war against drugs’ campaign is being run in Punjab. Bulldozers are being run on the houses of drug sellers and more than 25 thousand drug smugglers have been arrested. More than 55 thousand government jobs have been given without bribe and 43 thousand km of excellent roads are being built. Now farmers are getting 8 hours of electricity a day and 90 percent of the families are getting free electricity. Historic reforms in education and health sectors have increased people’s trust in AAP. 580 seats were won by less than 100 votes. Out of these, the opposition winning 319 seats is proof that these elections were conducted in a very transparent manner.

Stamped on the works of AAP government – Kejriwal

While addressing a press conference at Mohali Club with CM Bhagwant Mann on Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal said that three-four days ago, elections for block committees and district councils were held in the rural areas of Punjab. The results of this election came on Wednesday. The results of this election show that Aam Aadmi Party has swept the rural areas of Punjab. The election results show that the wave of Aam Aadmi Party is sweeping across Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party has won about 70 percent of the seats of Zilla Parishad and Block Committees. This is a huge achievement. These results show that the people of rural areas have approved the work of the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Bhagwant Mann in Punjab.

Not anti-incumbency, but pro-incumbency is going on in Punjab – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that elections for Zilla Parishad and Block Committees were held in 2013. A year before this, Akali Dal had won the Zilla Parishad and Block Committee elections held in 2012. Elections for Zilla Parishad and Block Committees were held in 2013, just a year after Akali Dal won. In a way, these elections were held immediately after the honeymoon period of Akali Dal.

This was followed by elections in 2018, which were held a year after the 2017 assembly elections. In which Congress had won. But this time the elections for Zilla Parishad and Block Committees have been held a year before the assembly elections to be held in 2027. The results of this election are showing that the work done by the Aam Aadmi Party government under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann shows not anti-incumbency but pro-incumbency factor. The people of Punjab are very happy with the works of the AAP government and the people have put their seal of approval on those works.

In 2013-2018, the elections of Zilla Parishad and Block Committees were won by force – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that when I talked to some people on Wednesday when the election results were announced, they told that in 2012, Akali Dal was in government, hence Akali Dal got majority in the elections of Zilla Parishad and Block Committees. But I believe this comparison is not correct. Because at that time the Akali Dal government had been in power for only one year, whereas the Aam Aadmi Party government had been in power for 4 years.

The second thing is that everyone knows that in 2013 and 2018, the elections of Zilla Parishad and Block Committees were held with pressure. Voting and counting were not videographed. The entire victory was achieved through pressure. But this time the elections of Zilla Parishad and Block Committees were held with complete transparency. Videography of voting and counting has been done.

If AAP government had misused the government machinery, the opposition would not have been able to win 319 seats with less than 100 votes: Kejriwal.

Arvind Kejriwal gave an example of the transparency of elections in rural areas and said that there are 580 seats which were won by a margin of less than 100 votes. Of these 580 seats, 261 were won by the Aam Aadmi Party and 319 by the opposition. If the Aam Aadmi Party had misused the machinery in the same way as it pushes in the elections, then the 319 seats won by the opposition would have gone in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party.

In Sangrur district, Phaguala Zone Congress won by only 5 votes, this is proof that these elections were conducted in a completely transparent manner. Congress won Sri Muktsar Sahib Kot Bhai Zone by only 41 votes. In block committees, Lakhanpur zone in Fatehgarh Sahib, Gill in Jalandhar, Bajra Congress in Ludhiana have won by only 3 votes. Similarly, Congress won Chagguwal in Gurudaspur and Ghorewaha in Hoshiarpur by 4 votes. If Congress wins by 3-4 votes, then elections cannot be more transparent than this.

All parties sitting in opposition are responsible for pushing Punjab into intoxication – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Punjab have put their seal of approval on the work of the Aam Aadmi Party government. The biggest task in rural areas is the war against drugs. All the parties sitting in the opposition were responsible for pushing Punjab into intoxication. They pushed Punjab into intoxication. Among these, there is a party which used to deliver drugs in the vehicles of its ministers. The government of this party used to run the entire drug business. The other party is the one whose leader had sworn by Gutka Saheb to stop drug addiction, but did nothing during the five years of the government. Drug trade continued in Punjab.

For the first time in 75 years, canal water reached farmers’ fields under AAP government – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that for the first time under the Aam Aadmi Party government, the people of Punjab saw bulldozers running on the houses of drug sellers and so far more than 25 thousand people have been arrested. Canal water has reached the fields of many farmers after 75 years of independence. People yearned for canal water to irrigate their fields. In the Congress-Akali Dal government, electricity came at 3 o’clock in the night and farmers had to get up at night to operate tube wells to irrigate their fields, but in the AAP government, electricity came continuously for 8 hours a day. Farmers no longer need to stay awake at night. Farmers are very happy with this.

Now government is getting it without bribe and recommendation, which was not available earlier – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that for the first time the people of Punjab are getting free electricity. The AAP government is providing free electricity to more than 90 percent of the families. The AAP government is constructing 19 thousand kilometers of roads in the rural areas of Punjab. A total of 43 thousand kilometers of roads are being built in Punjab and the quality of the roads is worth seeing. For the first time, a five-year guarantee clause has been inserted. People are very happy with the construction of these wonderful roads. The AAP government has so far given government jobs to more than 55 thousand poor and laborers without bribe or recommendation. Earlier no one could have imagined that one could get a government job in Punjab without bribe and recommendation. CM Bhagwant Mann himself has distributed the appointment letters with his own hands. There have been tremendous changes in the field of education in government schools in Punjab.

Every family in Punjab will start getting insurance worth Rs 10 lakh from January – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that today around one thousand mohalla clinics are running in every corner of Punjab. Constant feedback from Mohalla clinics keeps coming to the Chief Minister’s Office. If there is a shortage of medicines in a locality clinic or the doctor is not well then immediate action is taken. There has also been a lot of change in the government hospitals of Punjab and from next month, insurance of Rs 10 lakh will be given to every family. Making insurance cards will start in January. The villagers are also very happy with the easy registration process. There are many such works of AAP government, due to which the people of Punjab are very happy.

Aam Aadmi Party on development issues- Bhagwant Mann

During this, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the party is getting stronger in the entire country. This big victory in the rural areas of Punjab is proof of this. He completely rejected the opposition’s allegations that the elections were rigged and while sharing a list, said that Congress won at many places by a small margin of just 9, 3 or 40 votes.

He said that if there were irregularities in the ballot paper, the opposition would not have won by such a small margin of seats. Leaders like Charanjit Singh Channi see everything as per their wish, whereas the reality is that videography was done in the elections for the first time. So that transparency is maintained. Presenting the figures, he said that including 67 percent block committee and 72 percent district council seats, Aam Aadmi Party has won about 70 percent seats in rural areas.

Free electricity, 55 thousand government jobs

Bhagwant Mann said that Akali Dal has slipped to the third position and if they are happy by winning some seats then it is their misunderstanding, because the mandate of the people of Punjab is very clear. This victory is the result of the work done in the last four years like providing canal water to the fields, free electricity, 55 thousand government jobs, closure of toll plazas and giving honorarium of Rs 1 crore to the families of martyrs. The shortcomings will be reviewed in the seats where defeat was achieved by a small margin.

government work report card

Bhagwant Mann said that Aam Aadmi Party is now expanding to Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala, where the party is winning local elections. On the question asked regarding the assembly elections, he said that instead of considering this election as a semi-final, it should be considered as a report card of the government’s work. In future too, the party will go among the people only on the issues of development instead of politics of caste and religion.

On the question of BJP getting only one vote in his native village Satoj, Bhagwant Mann said that leaders should stay connected to their roots and I will go to my village and thank the people. He said that to break the network of drug smugglers, political will is required which the Aam Aadmi Party government has. The conviction rate in drug cases in Punjab is 83 percent, which is the highest in the country. Our government is now clearing the thorns sown by the old governments.

AAP got a historic victory in the elections because of these 10 important works.
