Delhi Red Fort blast case: NIA arrests one more accused from Shopian
New Delhi. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another key accused in the car blast case that took place on November 10 near the historic Red Fort in Delhi. 11 people were killed and many others were injured in this explosion.
The ninth person to be arrested in this case is Yasir Ahmed Dar, a resident of Shopian, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. He has been arrested by the central agency from New Delhi under various provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and the Indian Justice Code.
The NIA investigation has revealed Dar’s active role in the conspiracy behind the car bomb blast that rocked the national capital. He was an active participant in the plot and had vowed to carry out suicide missions. The investigation also revealed that Dar was in close contact with other accused in the case, including deceased bombing perpetrator Omar Un Nabi and Mufti Irfan.
The central agency in collaboration with various state agencies is working rapidly to expose the entire conspiracy behind this terrorist attack. Earlier this month, the agency had conducted extensive searches at the locations of several accused and suspects in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and seized several digital devices and other incriminating material from there.
Earlier, similar raids were conducted at the premises of main accused Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ghani and Dr Shaheen Saeed and at Al Falah University campus in Faridabad and other places.
