PM Modi received Oman’s highest honor: Sultan Al Saeed honored with ‘Order of Oman’
Muscat. Oman has honored Prime Minister Narendra Modi with its highest honor ‘Order of Oman’. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Saeed of Oman presented this honor to Prime Minister Modi in Muscat on Thursday. PM Modi has gone to Oman on a two-day visit.
Earlier, Ethiopia had also honored Prime Minister Modi with its highest honour. India and Oman also signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in the presence of Modi and Sultan Al Said.
Describing this agreement as a blueprint for the joint future of India-Oman, the Prime Minister stressed that this agreement will bring new energy to trade and investment relations between the two countries and create opportunities for mutual development, innovation and employment.

India and Oman signed a free trade agreement on Thursday. Under this, 98 percent of India’s exports including textiles, agricultural products and leather goods will be provided duty free access to Oman. On the other hand, India will reduce duties on Omani products like dates, marble and petrochemicals.
