Nissan Motor India has announced a new series of cars in 2026 in a big announcement for India. The first among these is the all-new 7-seater B-MPV Nissan Gravite, which will be launched in the Indian market in early 2026. This car will be the first car in Nissan’s newly designed and strategic product range for India.
The Gravite has been designed with the needs of modern Indian families in mind and will come with an affordable price, spacious cabin and adjustable seating layout. The Gravite is the second model in an ambitious production campaign that Nissan announced in July 2024. According to the company, the Nissan Tecton will be introduced in the Indian market in mid-2026 and a new 7-seater C-SUV in early 2027.

Meaning behind the name ‘Gravite’
The name Gravite is inspired by the concept of ‘gravity’, representing balance, stability and strong attraction. The name expresses Nissan’s vision to offer Indian families a balanced experience of comfort, functionality and connectivity.
Design and interior
The Gravite features Nissan’s signature C-shaped front grille, giving the car a bolder identity on the road. Besides, it will stand out in its segment with special hood branding and unique rear-door badging.

Manufacturing in India, expanding network
