VB-G RAM G Bill 2025: ‘VB-G-Ram-G’ Bill passed by Lok Sabha, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said – Opposition is insulting Bapu
New Delhi. Amidst the uproar by opposition parties in the winter session of Parliament on Thursday, Shivraj Singh Chouhan responded in detail on the Vikas Bharat Ji-Ram-Ji Bill. He said that the opposition does not want to listen to the government’s answer. While presenting the figures released by the government, the Union Agriculture Minister said that the previous governments misused the funds, but our government insisted on spending on development works. Shivraj Singh Chauhan claimed that the government has brought a bill for the welfare of farmers as well as the poor, which is being opposed.

He said that first of all I want to thank you in this sacred house. I want to thank the Chairman. We have heard the views of honorable members on this subject. Now it is my right to answer. I want protection from you. I have listened to honorable members till 1.30 in the night. Making your point heard and then not hearing the answer is a violation of democratic traditions. The Constitution is being torn to pieces. They are also killing Bapu’s ideals. Make your point known and don’t listen to us. This is also violence. Congress and the rest of the opposition are doing this work of killing Bapu’s ideals.
We are people who follow Gandhi’s ideals: Agriculture Minister
He said that first of all I want to pay obeisance at the feet of respected Bapu (President Mahatma Gandhi). Bapu is our faith. Bapu ji is our ideal. Bapu is our inspiration. Bapu is our faith. Therefore, Mr. President, the Bharatiya Janata Party has given place to Gandhi’s socio-economic philosophy in its five allegiances. We are going to follow the ideals of Gandhiji. Gandhiji himself had said that villages are the soul of India. If villages die, India will die.
‘Do not discriminate against any state’

The Agriculture Minister said that this is an MLA for the development of villages. Honorable opposition members made many allegations. One thing said is that we discriminate. The whole country is one for us. Be it Chennai or Guwahati, our country, our soil. Different language, different clothes, still one country. He further said, I want to tell them what Atal ji had said. Honorable Speaker Sir, we do not discriminate against any state in the country. Our leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee had said that this country is not a piece of land for us, the nation that is won is a man.
Responding to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi’s comment, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the craze is not on the Modi government. He said that to glorify his family, he named government schemes only after the Nehru family instead of Mahatma Gandhi. Accusing Congress of indulging in glorification of the family, Shivraj said that the schemes were named after the Nehru family. He claimed that 25 names were named after late Rajiv Gandhi and 27 names were named after Indira Gandhi. Apart from this, educational institutions, roads, buildings, awards were also named after people of this family.
