Pakistan will once again be ‘Internationally Insulted’, the one who lost against India made the captain for Under-19 World Cup
U19 World Cup 2026: Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its 15-member squad for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia. The command of this team has been handed over to 19 year old batsman Farhan Yusuf. This is the same Farhan, under whose captaincy Pakistan had to face a huge defeat of 90 runs against India.
Change in captain and team
Farhan Yusuf is a strong middle-order batsman and the board has full confidence in his leadership abilities. Only one change has been made from the Asia Cup team. Right arm fast bowler Umar Zaib has got the place in place of left arm spinner Mohammad Huzaifa. This team will also first play a triangular series in Zimbabwe, which will be a good preparation for the World Cup.
Return of bowler Ali Raza
The biggest news is the return of fast bowler Ali Raza to the team. Ali had shown amazing performance in the last World Cup 2024 at the age of just 15. He took 4 wickets against Australia in the semi-finals and took 9 wickets in three matches in the entire tournament. His fast bowling will become the strength of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s group in World Cup
The World Cup will run from 15 January to 6 February 2026. Pakistan is in Group C, where it is joined by England, Scotland and host Zimbabwe. The team will play its first match against England on 16 January. Due to India being in a different group, there will be no India-Pakistan match in the group stage. Fans can get to see this exciting match only in Super Six or Knockout.
