Harbhajan Singh appeals to Team India for not playing cricket with Pakistan in Asia Cup Gujarati

New Delhi: Team India now has to participate in the Asia Cup 2025 tournament starting from 9th September. In this tournament, it has to play a match against Pakistan on 14 September. Most of the Indians want the Indian cricket team not to play cricket match with Pakistan. Meanwhile, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has given a big statement regarding this match. He has appealed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India not to play against Pakistan. It is also said that country comes first and nothing should come before it.

Bhajan Singh said, “BCCIA should understand what is important and what is not. This is a very simple thing. For me, our countrymen who are standing at the border, their families who cannot see them many times, they are martyred, they cannot return home. They make such a big sacrifice for all of us. So this is a very small thing, for me, this is a very small price. Our government also has the same attitude that blood and water cannot fight together on the border. Even if there is tension between the two countries, it is not possible for us to go and play a cricket match with them.”

Bhajan Singh further said, “Until these big issues are resolved, cricket is a very small thing. The country always comes first. Our identity is with the country, whether we are players, actors or anyone else. The country comes first and we have to fulfill our duties towards this country. Not playing a cricket match is a very small thing. Our brothers are standing at the border, who are protecting us, protecting our country. Look at their courage, they are there. On April 22, 2025, a terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which was linked to Pakistan. Many innocent people lost their lives in this attack. After this, India also gave a befitting reply to this and destroyed many places in Pakistan in Operation Sindoor. The experienced players of Team India were not at all happy with this attack and when they had to play a match against Pakistan Champions in the World Championship of Legends 2025 tournament, they refused to do so. Yuvraj Singh and company had first refused to play the match against Pakistan in the league stage match and then they took the same decision in the semi-finals also. The players of Pakistan Champions were not happy with this decision of India Champions.
