Indian batsmen have scored strong runs on the wicket of Dubai. Players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhigyan Kundu have made big innings in the tournament. Suryavanshi came into limelight by scoring 171 against UAE at the start of the tournament. The Indian opener also scored a half-century against Malaysia. Although Suryavanshi missed the double century, Kundu scored a double century for India in the Asia Cup. Batting at number five, Kundu scored an unbeaten 209 off 125 balls, making him the first Indian to score a double century in youth ODIs and second overall after South Africa’s Jorich van Schalkwyk. Among the bowlers, Sri Lanka will have to be wary of Deepesh Devendran, who has taken 10 wickets in the tournament so far. The Indian pacer has been consistently successful in taking early wickets in all the matches so far.
