Let us tell you that Ji Ram Ji Bill will replace the 20 year old Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). Congress alleges that the government wants to remove Mahatma Gandhi’s name from MNREGA. It is noteworthy that the Congress-led UPA government had brought the MNREGA law in 2005, under which people in rural areas were guaranteed 100 days of employment in a year. Now under this new law, the NDA government will provide 125 days of employment in rural areas every year.
