Akshay Kumar’s great comeback on TV! Will host the most unique reality game show

Akshay Kumar: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is reportedly set to make a grand comeback on television, and fans couldn’t be more excited. Big screen icons may not often step into daily soaps, but they have never shied away from ruling reality TV — just like Salman Khan is known for Bigg Boss and Amitabh Bachchan is known for Kaun Banega Crorepati, Akshay Kumar is also ready to get his TV charm back.

Popular shows around the world

According to industry buzz, Akshay has been approached to host a brand new reality game show for Sony Entertainment Television — an Indian adaptation of the popular American show Wheel of Fortune. First launched in the US in 1975, the show, popular around the world, has been adapted in many countries. The format sees contestants spin a giant wheel and solve puzzles to win exciting prizes, making it an exciting mix of luck, strategy and entertainment.

After the massive success of KBC, Sony has reportedly acquired the rights to bring the show to India in a big way. The Indian version will not only have common contestants, but will also have popular personalities from different fields. Unlike KBC, which is a quiz-based format, this show will be more about luck, suspense and exciting twists.

Planning to launch on a large scale

If reports are to be believed, the show is expected to go on floors by mid-January next year. The makers are planning to launch it on a grand scale, with a bigger prize pool and a format that will appeal to both metro audiences and small town audiences.

Hosts who have hosted these shows

Earlier, Akshay Kumar has successfully hosted shows like Seven Deadly Arts with Akshay Kumar, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, MasterChef India and Dare 2 Dance.

With her infectious personality, charm and energy, expectations are once again skyrocketing. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the official confirmation and announcement.
