PM Modi Earring Viral Video: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on Wednesday on an official visit to Oman, where he was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Oman. During this, he was given traditional dance and guard of honour. However, during this reception, one small thing caught people’s attention, which was worn by Prime Minister Modi.

A small machine was visible in the Prime Minister’s left ear, seeing which a discussion started on social media. People wanted to know what this device was and why the Prime Minister was wearing it.

What is the specialty of this device?

What was visible in the Prime Minister’s ear was not a fashion accessory but a real-time translation device. Its job is to help in understanding the language of the other person, so that there is no hindrance in the conversation. Such devices are usually part of high-level diplomatic meetings, where leaders of two countries can communicate easily without any language barrier.

The device was specifically used to talk in Arabic, the official language of Oman, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was meeting Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al and Arabic is spoken as the main language in Oman.

Free trade agreement between the two countries

During this visit an important free trade agreement was signed between India and Oman. Under this, there will be no tax on 98% of exports. This means that most goods sent from India to Oman, such as textiles, agricultural products and leather goods, will not attract any duty.

Prime Minister Modi’s statement

While addressing the India-Oman Business Forum in Oman, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the centuries-old maritime trade relations between the two countries. He called it a common guidance for the future and termed the free trade agreement as an important step in the relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Modi was awarded the Order of Oman, the highest honour, in Oman. This honor has been given to him for his contribution in strengthening relations and furthering trade relations between the two countries.
