Stock Market Today: Rise after four sessions of decline, Sensex-Nifty rise due to rise in stock market
Mumbai. After four sessions of decline amid the rise in global markets, Sensex and Nifty registered gains in early trade on Friday. Stock markets also gained momentum due to a renewed increase in foreign investment. BSE Sensex rose 448.27 points to 84,930.08 in early trade and NSE Nifty rose 131 points to 25,946.55. Shares of all 30 companies included in the Sensex remained in the positive zone.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Reliance Industries, Bharat Electronics, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, Power Grid and Tata Consultancy Services were the top gainers. In Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei 225, China’s SSE Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng remained in the positive zone. American markets closed with gains on Thursday.
International standard Brent crude fell 0.23 percent to $ 59.68 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were buying on Thursday and bought shares worth a net Rs 595.78 crore. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) also bought shares worth Rs 2,700.36 crore in previous trade.
