Ranchi: Jharkhand cricket team won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the first time by defeating Haryana by 69 runs at the MCA Cricket Stadium in Pune on Thursday. After the big victory under the captaincy of Ishan Kishan, Jharkhand cricket team reached Ranchi, where it was warmly welcomed in traditional manner. JCA President Ajay Nath Shahdev himself reached Birsa Munda Airport to welcome the players.

After reaching Ranchi, members and support staff of Jharkhand cricket team went to the Chief Minister’s residence on Kanke Road and met Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren. Jharkhand team reached the finals by winning 9 consecutive matches and gave a crushing defeat to Haryana there. In this match, team captain Ishan Kishan played a stormy inning of 101 runs.
