Dollar slips against dong – VnExpress International

The U.S. dollar weakened against the Vietnamese dong Friday morning while strengthening against several major currencies.

Vietcombank sold the greenback at VND26,405, down 0.01% from Thursday. The currency fell 0.1% to around VND27,099 on the black market.

The State Bank of Vietnam lowered its reference rate by 0.01% to VND25,148.

Globally, the yen was down 0.25% at 155.95 per dollar on Friday after the BOJ raised its policy rate to 0.75% from 0.5% in a move that had been well telegraphed by policymakers, prompting traders to sell the currency on the outcome, Reuters reported.
