China preparing for direct war with America, trying to consolidate power through intelligence project

After America, now China is trying to create a stir in the world through its intelligence project. This whole fight is to achieve efficiency in making semiconductors. In fact, China has been making every possible effort to become self-reliant in the field of semiconductors for a long time. However, there are speculations that until recent years, China would not be able to access the world’s most advanced chip-making technology because America and its allies had created such a wall in front of China through export controls and technology chokepoints, which was considered almost impossible to break. The most important part of this wall is the Extreme Ultraviolet Machine, which is one of the most complex machines in the world. Till now, this technology has been monopolized only by the Netherlands company ASML, while in April this year the CEO of ASML had also said that China still has to work hard to develop EUV technology.

But a recent Reuters report has proved these claims completely wrong, in which it has been told that Chinese scientists have prepared a prototype of EUV machine in a high security campus in Shenzhen, China. This machine has been prepared in a very confidential manner. With this, China has failed all the predictions in which experts believed that it would take more than a decade to reach this point.

What is special and why comparison with America?

EUV machines are important because with their help nanometer level circuits are engraved on silicon wafers. These circuits are thousands of times thinner than a human hair. It is very important for AI and defense grade chips. Whose price is around 250 million dollars. That is why Chinese officials and engineers associated with it are comparing this project with America’s ‘Manhattan Project’.

This EUV mission of China is being compared with the American Manhattan Project because this plan of China is also nationwide military sensitive and centrally controlled. Thousands of engineers, universities, state labs and big companies like Huawei are also involved in this scheme. According to the report, the entire project is being run under the supervision of Ding Shuxiang, a close aide of Chinese President Xi Jinping and head of the Central Science and Technology Commission. China had kept this project completely confidential. According to the report, the teams here have been kept separate from each other and very few people have been given complete information about this mission.

Along with this, many engineers are working under another identity and while living on the campus, contact with the outside world is also limited. According to experts, for China this is not just a question of technology, but a matter of world sovereignty. This project is very important for China because control over semiconductors directly means control over the digital foundation of AI, quantum computing, modern warfare and the global economy.
