PM Modi West Bengal Visit: When and where will the Prime Minister come? Know all details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit West Bengal on December 20where he will address a BJP public rally in Ranaghatlocated in the state’s Nadia district. This will be his third visit to West Bengal in the last five monthsas the Bharatiya Janata Party steps up preparations for the 2026 Assembly elections.

According to BJP sources, Prime Minister Modi is expected to land at a helipad near Taherpur around 10:30 am. In addition to the political rally, he is also scheduled to participate in government programmes during the day.

The rally is likely to have a strong focus on the Matua communitywhich holds significant influence in Nadia and North 24 Parganas districts. Party leaders said the location was chosen keeping in mind the area’s cultural and social importance. An earlier rally planned in Ranaghat had reportedly been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

Ahead of the visit, Prime Minister Modi took to social media to outline the purpose of his rally. He highlighted the impact of Central government welfare schemes in West Bengal while criticising the ruling Trinamool Congress for alleged misgovernance across sectors. He said that public dissatisfaction with the state government has grown due to issues related to governance, law and order, and corruption.

The visit comes at a politically significant time, shortly after the publication of draft electoral rolls and amid concerns among sections of voters following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process that began in November.

During the rally, Prime Minister Modi is expected to highlight Central government initiatives, infrastructure development, and the BJP’s roadmap for West Bengalas the party intensifies its outreach ahead of the next Assembly polls.
