Thalapathy Vijay’s first big rally in Erode after Karur accident, thanked fans by taking selfie from the rally

New Delhi. Actor-turned-leader Vijay Thalapathy Vijay organized his first major rally in Tamil Nadu in Erode district after the stampede in Karur on September 27, 2025 (in which 41 people died). This rally took place on 18 December 2025. Vijay has shared a selfie video of the crowd on his social media handle.

About 35 thousand people came to the rally. After the Karur accident, full care was taken of security. No stage was built. Vijay gave a speech from the roof of his campaign bus. Police deployed more than 1300 soldiers. Installed 60 CCTV cameras and divided the place into 72 parts. Ambulance and medical team were also kept ready.

According to a news, Vijay strongly attacked the ruling DMK government. He called the DMK an ‘evil force’ and described his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) as a ‘pure force’. He accused the government of corruption, unfulfilled promises and poor administration. Responding to the rumors spread on Karur accident, he said that everything will be cleared by law and truth.

Film ‘Jana Nayakan’
This rally of Vijay is part of his political preparation before the 2026 assembly elections. He will completely enter politics after completing his last film ‘Jana Nayakan’. This film will be released on 9 January 2026. Its audio launch may happen in Malaysia in December.
