Haryana News: An important issue related to farmers was at the center of discussion in the winter session of Haryana Assembly on Thursday. During this, there was mention of the ‘Whose field is his sand’ policy implemented by the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab, which is being considered an effective step in the interest of farmers. This policy is now coming out of Punjab and is also making a place in the politics and farmer discussions of Haryana.

Anurag Dhanda shared the video

Aam Aadmi Party’s national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda shared a video of the assembly session on social media. He told that many public representatives in the House raised the demand that on the lines of Punjab, ‘Whose field is his sand’ policy should be implemented in Haryana too, so that the farmers affected by the floods can get relief.

AAP’s work discussed in other states too – Kejriwal

Retweeting this video, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that it is a matter of satisfaction that now the public welfare works of Punjab government are being discussed in other states also. He said that through this policy, the government of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann provided farmers their rights and effectively controlled illegal activities.

Arvind Kejriwal’s tweet was also shared by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. This clearly indicates that the Punjab government is presenting its farmer-friendly policies as a successful model in front of the country.

what is the whole matter

In fact, after the floods in Punjab, considering the sand accumulated in the fields as the property of the farmer, the government allowed its removal and sale. With this, farmers were able to clear their fields quickly, prepare for the harvest on time and also earn additional income. Due to this policy, there was a reduction of 30 to 35 percent in the prices of sand. Besides, the government also provided practical help to the farmers by providing machinery.

Farmers lagging behind in farming due to floods

Due to floods in many districts of Haryana, sand and silt have accumulated in the fields, due to which farmers are lagging behind in farming. In such a situation, this demand raised in the Assembly underlines the problems of the farmers and the need for solution. The Punjab model shows that with the right intentions and clear policy, farmers can be empowered even in times of disaster.
