Thomas Skinner plans legal action against BBC over ‘Strictly’ Exit
Reality TV star Thomas Skinner has sparked controversy after reports claimed he is planning to take legal action against the BBC. The dispute centers on his early elimination from Strictly Come Dancing this year.
The 34-year-old was the first contestant voted off the series. He performed alongside professional dancer Amy Dowden. Skinner received the lowest combined score from both the judges and the public vote.
However, sources say Skinner believes the results did not reflect the true public support he received. An insider told The Sun that Skinner has “evidence” suggesting his votes were downplayed when combined with judges’ scores.
“Thomas is convinced he had strong backing from viewers,” the source said. “He wants answers and transparency from the BBC.”
Skinner was spotted in public for the first time since the reports. He appeared calm and cheerful, chatting with fans and enjoying the festive season.
The BBC has denied any wrongdoing. A spokesperson said the voting system is “robust, independently overseen and fully verified.” Another source added that the BBC has not received any formal legal notice so far.
Despite the brewing controversy, Skinner has not commented publicly. Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing producer continue to defend the integrity of the show and its voting process.
