China has approached the World Trade Organization (WTO) against India for the second time in three months and has filed a complaint against India regarding India’s tariffs on information and communication technology (ICT) products and Indian photovoltaic (solar) subsidies. China’s Commerce Ministry gave this information in a statement issued on Friday.

The Chinese Commerce Ministry says that these Indian tariffs and subsidies unfairly benefit its domestic industries and harm the interests of Chinese companies. In particular, it violates the national treatment principle and rules related to import substitution subsidies, which are prohibited in the WTO. China said in the statement, ‘We once again appeal to India to comply with its responsibilities under the WTO and immediately correct its wrong policies.’
