Bihar politics heated up: Clash over viral video of Jitan Ram Manjhi

The political stir in Bihar has intensified due to the alleged viral video of Jitan Ram Manjhi. RJD raised questions on the electoral process, while Manjhi called the video fake and a conspiracy. The opposition and the ruling party are face to face on this issue.

Patna: Electoral politics in Bihar has once again become heated. Recently RJD shared a video of Jitan Ram Manjhi on social media, in which Manjhi was allegedly claiming election rigging. The video quickly went viral and sparked controversy among political parties. Due to this video, the opposition raised questions on the transparency of the state administrative officials and the election process.

Manjhi’s alleged statement in viral video

In the video, Manjhi was heard saying that in 2020, he was trailing by 2700 votes in Gaya’s Tikri seat. He claimed that he won with the help of the then DM Abhishek Singh (who is now posted in Tripura). In the video, Manjhi was also telling that this time he lost the election by 1,600 votes and in the same election the officials contacted him on phone and asked what went wrong.

After this video went viral, political turmoil intensified in Bihar. Opposition parties, especially RJD, raised questions about this and expressed doubts over the fairness of the election process.

Jitan Ram Manjhi’s clear answer

After the video went viral, Jitan Ram Manjhi denied it. He said that his statement was changed by falsely editing the video and it was presented as a conspiracy against him. Manjhi shared the post on social media from his ex-handle and said, “Some people who have tampered with one of my videos and made it viral think that they will defame Musahar K Lal.”

Manjhi further said that now no one can insult him and no one can fool him. He warned that the efforts of those who are hatching any kind of conspiracy will only work against themselves.

RJD sought clarification from Manjhi

RJD raised questions on Manjhi and his election victory on the basis of viral video. The party sought clarification from the DM about the alleged incident of setting. Due to this the political atmosphere in Bihar became even more heated.

Calling it an attempt to defame him politically, Manjhi said that now he himself has become a brand. He said that no one can challenge his past experience and identity.
