While talking to the media on Friday before the beginning of the winter session of the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that everyone knows that almost every mafia in the state has links with the Samajwadi Party. He said that preliminary investigation has revealed that some of the accused caught in the action of STF or Uttar Pradesh Police have links with Samajwadi Party. The Samajwadi Party, which has already been infamous and infamous for its functioning, will also see its involvement exposed in this entire matter.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented his stand on codeine issue
On the codeine issue, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that codeine phosphate is a drug covered under the NDPS Act. It is used in the manufacture of codeine-containing cough syrup, which is used to treat severe cough. Its quota and allocation is done by the Central Narcotics Bureau only for authorized drug manufacturing. He said that this cough syrup was being misused as a narcotic substance in many places. Action was taken by the Uttar Pradesh government after receiving complaints of illegal smuggling. Under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Police and Food Safety and Drugs Administration (FSDA), action was started considering it under the NDPS Act. The Chief Minister said that this action is being taken by FSDA, UP Police and STF, in which so far large-scale cases of illegal trafficking have been exposed and widespread arrests have also been made. He said that the entire case is being monitored by a state-level SIT, which includes officials of UP Police and FSDA. Important aspects related to illegal smuggling, like where the money went, all these facts will also be revealed.
Winter session will run till 24th December
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the winter session will start from today and continue till December 24. He said that all the honorable members coming to participate in the session are welcome. The Chief Minister said that during this session, honorable members will raise issues related to the public, legislative work related to the development of Uttar Pradesh will be taken forward and supplementary demands of various departments will also be discussed. He said that on this occasion, an important discussion will be organized to commemorate the completion of 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ and gratitude will be expressed towards its creator Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay. The date of establishment of Uttar Pradesh and the date of notification giving recognition to ‘Vande Mataram’ as per the Constitution are the same, hence the discussion on this topic in the legislature will be very important. The Chief Minister said that probably no action would be taken in the Assembly today as a condolence motion would be moved due to the sudden demise of a sitting member of the Assembly. However, if any issue arises in the Legislative Council, the Leader of the House will present the government’s side on it. Apart from this, if anyone outside also raises questions on this subject, an appropriate reply will be given by the government.
Government ready to discuss all issues
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it has been made clear in the all-party meeting that the government is fully ready to discuss all the issues. The government has a positive outlook on development related issues and expects cooperation from all parties for the smooth conduct of the Assembly session. He said that the largest legislature of the country is continuously moving in the right direction. When the sacred places associated with democracy become centers of discussion and debate, then the public representative lives up to the public trust. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government wished that the session should last for more days, but at present most of the public representatives are busy in the work related to the special revision program of the voter list, which is extremely important for the purity and transparency of democracy. For this reason, the session period for necessary legislative work, supplementary demands and discussion on ‘Vande Mataram’ has been fixed from today to 24th December. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this session will prove to be very important for the development of Uttar Pradesh Legislature and the state.
