Washington shaken by Donald Trump’s statement that I don’t need anyone’s permission to attack Venezuela

They argue that according to the Constitution, Congress has the right to ‘declare war’. But the Trump camp argues that if the situation in Venezuela goes out of control, or the American citizens present there are in danger, then the President, being the ‘Commander-in-Chief’, has the full right to take immediate action. The world’s eyes on America. Relations between Venezuela and America have been straining for the last several years. America has always been strict regarding the political crisis there and oil trade. Now this “blatant” statement of Trump has indicated that America will not reduce aggression in its foreign policy. Now it remains to be seen whether Congress creates any legal complications on this or Trump demonstrates his power.
