Batting first after losing the toss, Team India scored 231 runs for 5 wickets. Tilak Verma played an innings of 73 runs in 42 balls. He hit 10 fours and 1 six. Hardik Pandya scored 63 runs in 25 balls, which included 5 fours and 5 sixes. Sanju Samson played an inning of 37 runs and Abhishek Sharma played an inning of 34 runs. While Shivam Dubey contributed 10 runs. Corbin Wash took 2 wickets for South Africa. Whereas George Linde and Otniel Baartman got 1-1 success.
