IND vs SA 5th T20I: The Indian team created history by defeating South Africa by 30 runs in the fifth and last T20 match played on Friday. In this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India restricted the visiting team to 201 runs after giving a huge target of 232 runs. With this, India won the five-match T20 series 3-1. The fourth match played in Lucknow was abandoned due to fog. This is India’s first home T20 series win against South Africa.

South Africa faltered after De Kock’s innings
Chasing the target, the South African team made a good start. Openers Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendrex added 69 runs for the first wicket. However, Hendrex was out in the seventh over. After this De Kock made a partnership of 51 runs with Dewald Brevis. De Kock was out in the 11th over after scoring 65 runs, after which South Africa’s innings faltered. Brewis scored 34 runs in 17 balls. Varun Chakravarthy brought the match within India’s control by dismissing captain Aiden Markram and Donovan Ferreira in the 13th over. For India, Varun took four wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah got two wickets. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each.
Tilak and Hardik’s explosive batting
Earlier, after losing the toss and coming to bat, the Indian team scored 231 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Tilak Verma was the highest run scorer for India. He played a brilliant inning of 73 runs in 42 balls. Hardik Pandya batted explosively and scored 63 runs in 25 balls. Hardik made the record of scoring the second fastest half-century in T20 International for India by completing his half-century in just 16 balls.

Samson and Abhishek gave a strong start
India’s start was also excellent. Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson made a partnership of 63 runs for the first wicket. Abhishek scored 37 runs in 22 balls, while Samson contributed 34 runs in 21 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav was out early, but after this Tilak and Hardik made an important partnership of 105 runs for the fourth wicket, taking India to a big score.
