Dense fog flight cancellations: Due to cold, the effect of dense fog is being seen on air traffic. Passengers are facing a lot of problems due to dense fog causing canceled and delayed flights. Its effect is also being seen on road, rail and air services. Delhi-NCR is still under the grip of dense fog, which is having a major impact on visibility and flight operations. Flights have been continuously getting canceled for the last few days.

In view of the havoc of the weather, Delhi Airport has issued an advisory and advised the passengers to keep in touch with the airlines for the latest information. Visibility has fallen to 50 to 100 meters in many areas, vehicles are seen moving with headlights on on the expressway. The Air Quality Index (AQI) remains in the ‘very poor’ category.

According to the Airport Authority, till now a total of 22 flights have been canceled from Delhi Airport, which includes 11 departures and 11 arrivals. Due to dense fog in Delhi-NCR, flight operations are being affected for several days. Visibility was reduced to almost zero due to dense fog, which was further affected by severe air pollution.
IndiGo has informed about the delay in flights on social media platform X. Flight timings are being affected due to fog and low visibility in Ranchi, Patna and Varanasi.
