IND vs SL U-19 Asia Cup 2025: Team India has performed brilliantly in the Under-19 Asia Cup and secured its place in the finals. In the semi-final match, India defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets. The heroes of this victory were Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra, who scored unbeaten half-centuries to give the team an easy victory.
The rain caused a lot of trouble before the match. The toss could take place after a delay of about 5 hours. At one time it seemed that the match might be cancelled, but the hard work of the ground staff bore fruit and the match was made 20-20 overs. After losing the toss and batting first, Sri Lankan team could score only 138 runs at the loss of 8 wickets.
It was not a good start
India’s start was not good. The team lost the wickets of captain Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi for just 25 runs. From the initial shocks it seemed that the match would be exciting, but what happened after that changed the picture of the match.
Both batsmen created ruckus
Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra made an unbeaten partnership of 114 runs for the third wicket. Both the batsmen played with utmost patience and confidence and did not give any chance to the Sri Lankan bowlers. Aaron George scored unbeaten 58 runs in 49 balls, while Vihaan Malhotra played a brilliant inning of 61 not out in 45 balls. India achieved the target with 12 balls remaining.
Pakistan defeated Bangladesh
In the second semi-final of the day, Pakistan entered the final by defeating Bangladesh by 8 wickets. This match was of 27 overs affected by rain. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 121 runs, which Pakistan achieved in just 16.3 overs.
The final will be held in Dubai
Now the final match of Under-19 Asia Cup will be played between India and Pakistan on December 21 at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. This match between the two teams is expected to be very exciting.
