Hardik Pandya’s ‘deadly shot’, something untoward could have happened; Cameraman narrowly missed
Team India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 25 balls in the fifth T20 match against South Africa on Friday (December 19). During this, he hit 5 fours and 5 sixes. In this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Hardik came to bat in the 13th over after the dismissal of captain Suryakumar Yadav. As soon as he came, he went ahead and hit the ball of Corbin Bosch and opened his account with a six.
Corbin Bosch bowled a length ball outside the off stump, on which Hardik jumped and sent it forward and over long off. The ball went at the speed of a bullet, which hit the cameraman standing next to the dug out of the Indian team on the long off boundary line. The cameraman was not paying attention to the ball. He was lucky that the ball hit his shoulder, otherwise something untoward could have happened. Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir, sitting in the dug out, also looked completely terrified.

Ice pack applied to cameraman
Gautam Gambhir’s reaction when Cameron got the ball was worth seeing. He looked scared at first. Later he was found looking angrily at the cameraman. It seemed as if he was saying that one should keep an eye on the ball also.
The cameraman was badly hurt. He was soon applied with an ice pack by a member of the Indian team’s support staff. After the end of India’s innings, Hardik was also seen applying an ice pack to the cameraman.
