Akshay Kumar to host ‘Ha’ reality show; Smoke in 60 countries; First poster released

The audience will soon get to see a bang in a reality show on Indian television. After megastars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Bollywood’s “Khiladi” Akshay Kumar Now all set to make his grand comeback on the small screen. Sony Entertainment Television has officially announced the launch of the Indian version of the world’s biggest game show “Wheel of Fortune”, which will be hosted by Akshay Kumar. Sonyreleased the first poster and teaser of the show on social media, creating a frenzy among fans. The poster also highlights the show’s achievements, including its 8 Emmy Award wins and successful broadcasts in over 60 countries worldwide.

It is the number one entertainment show in America. Now this global hit show is going to entertain the Indian audience as well. Given Akshay Kumar’s energy and intelligence, the makers feel that he is the right choice for the show. This is no ordinary game show. Running continuously in America since 1975, the show is one of the oldest and most successful formats in the world. People often compare it with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC), but it is quite different. As the name suggests, it has a large wheel. Contestants spin it and the point at which it stops determines their winning amount.

While KBC is purely based on general knowledge, Wheel of Fortune tests your language and presence of mind. Players have to solve puzzles based on the words or sentences displayed on the screen. The show is expected to replace the prime time slot of Amitabh Bachchan’s KBC after the season ends. The show will be streamed on Sony Entertainment Television as well as OTT platforms.
