AQI crosses 500 in these areas of Delhi, dense fog puts brakes on the speed of vehicles, yellow alert issued
Delhi AQI Today: Delhi-NCR is facing the double blow of fog and pollution. Along with this the temperature is also falling rapidly. A sudden change in the weather was seen on the morning of Saturday i.e. 20th December. Here, along with severe cold, icy winds started blowing. Dense fog reduced visibility to zero. India Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert regarding dense fog on 21 and 22 December.
During this period, the maximum temperature of Delhi fell to 21 degrees Celsius and the minimum to 7 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the situation regarding pollution remains serious. Noida’s air quality index has reached close to 410. This is considered very harmful for health. This change is being considered very important.

cold winds and falling temperatures
Winter in Delhi-NCR is no longer limited to nights only. Now the effect of cold is visible during day time. A drop in maximum temperature has been recorded in the last two days. This drop is said to be 3 degrees Celsius. Here in the past 24​ The maximum temperature has been up to degrees. Now it has come down to 21 degrees Celsius. The speed of the winds is also increasing the cold. It is expected to run at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour.
Pollution made life difficult
The situation has gone from bad to worse due to pollution. In many areas it has crossed 500. In the capital, the AQI of Shahdara reached 784, Daryaganj 736 and Shastri Nagar 643. AQI remains between 700 to 800 in entire Delhi-NCR. There is a risk of respiratory disease due to this. At the same time, visibility in many areas is less than 100 meters in 24 hours. This shows that the double attack of fog and pollution is having an effect. During this time, people have been appealed not to leave the house unnecessarily.
