Pilot Attacked Passenger at IGI Airport: A shameful incident has come to light at Delhi’s IGI Airport (Terminal 1), where Air India Express pilot Vijender Sejwal assaulted a passenger. The victim passenger Ankit Dewan has shared his blood soaked pictures and made serious allegations against the pilot, after which the airline has taken action.

The incident took place at Terminal 1 of the Delhi airport, when the victim, Ankit Dewan, was traveling with his family and four-month-old daughter. According to Dewan, they were using the staffed security check-in line because of the stroller. Meanwhile, Air India Express pilot Vijender Sejwal tried to break the line. When Dewan interrupted him, Pilot reportedly asked him “Are he illiterate?” And after this the dispute turned into a scuffle.

Attack and injury in front of innocent daughter

Ankit Diwan alleged that the pilot physically attacked him, causing his nose to bleed and his shirt to become bloodied. The most sad thing is that Diwan’s seven year old innocent daughter saw this entire attack with her own eyes and she is in deep shock after this incident. Dewan took to social media platform ‘X’ But he has appealed for justice by sharing pictures of the pilot and his face.

Airline action and serious allegations

As the matter escalated, Air India Express issued a statement strongly condemning this behaviour. The airline has removed (suspended) the accused pilot from duty with immediate effect until the investigation is completed. However, the passenger has made another shocking allegation that he was forced to write a letter at the airport itself, stating that he would not pursue the matter further. Diwan says that he was threatened that if he did not write this letter, he would have to miss the flight and his holiday booking worth Rs 1.2 lakh would be ruined.

Demand for justice from Delhi Police

Tagging the Delhi Police, the victim has raised the question whether he will have to sacrifice his money to get justice? The airline clarified that the pilot was traveling as a passenger on another airline at the time, but his conduct will be thoroughly investigated.
