Borders long and complex
The borders of the northeastern states are much longer and more complex than those of Bangladesh. Tripura in figures – 856 km. This state is surrounded by Bangladesh on 3 sides. Meghalaya-443 km, Mizoram-318 km, Assam-263 km. In such a situation, these 4 north-eastern states share a total of 1,880 km long border with Bangladesh. Preventing infiltration, smuggling and crimes on such a long border is a big responsibility, which BSF and Army are fulfilling very well.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has said that the current situation in Bangladesh is very unstable. Many dangerous terrorists have been released from the jails of Bangladesh. In this atmosphere of unrest they may try to enter India. In such a situation, the state government is continuously sending information about the situation there to the Center and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet.

India has resorted to the most modern weapons along with old technologies to make the borders impenetrable. Drones are being monitored in those areas of the border where it is difficult for soldiers to reach. The Chief Minister has especially mentioned the S-400 mobile long-range missile system, which can destroy any air threat in the blink of an eye. The Army Commander has praised the unwavering dedication and preparedness of the soldiers of both the forces in Parwa (Mizoram).
