PMVBRY Scheme: 3.5 crore jobs will be provided in 2 years, Modi government opened the treasury
Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana: The Central Government has taken a huge step towards opening new employment opportunities for the youth of the country. A target has been set to create more than 3.5 crore jobs in the next 2 years through the Pradhan Mantri Vikas Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PMVBRY). For the successful implementation of this ambitious scheme, the government has allocated a huge budget of Rs 99,446 crore. The main objective of this scheme is to empower the youth by promoting employment in manufacturing, MSME and rural industries of the country.
First time job seekers will get special benefits
Minister of State for Labor and Employment Shobha Karandlaje informed in the Rajya Sabha that ‘Part A’ Under this, direct economic benefits will be given to the youth who have entered the formal sector for the first time. To those employees who are starting the job for the first time, the government will give an incentive amount equal to one month’s EPF salary i.e. a maximum of Rs 15,000. This money will be sent to the employee’s bank account in two different installments so that the youth can feel financially stable in the initial days of their job.
Process and conditions for receiving incentive amount
As per the rules of the scheme, the first installment of incentive amount (maximum Rs 7,500) will be given on completion of 6 months of employment. Whereas, the second and final installment will be received by the employee after completing 12 months of service and participating in a special financial literacy program.
This step has been taken so that the youth not only earn money but also learn to manage their money. The government will deposit this amount directly in the employee’s savings account or safe investment scheme, so that their future savings can also be ensured.
Companies and employers will also get financial help
‘Part B’ of the plan Employers and companies are being encouraged to hire additional employees. If a company hires a new employee for at least 6 months, the government will provide assistance of up to Rs 3,000 per month per employee to that employer.
This benefit will be applicable only to new jobs created between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2027. The Union Cabinet had approved this scheme on July 1, 2025 to strengthen MSME and rural industries.

Success of past plans and vision of the future
This scheme has been brought after the success of the Self-reliant India Employment Scheme (ABRY) started during the Corona period. Around 60.49 lakh people had availed benefits under ABRY till 31 March 2024.
Now the scope of the new PMVBRY scheme is much larger, which will not only create jobs but also increase the efficiency and social security of the employees. The government aims to maximize youth participation in manufacturing and industrial sectors so that India can move rapidly towards becoming a developed nation.
