Winter Vacation: Schools will remain closed from class 1 to 8, orders issued
Winter Vacation: For the last three days, there has been dense fog and severe cold in Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti and surrounding districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Visibility has become almost zero in many areas of the Terai region. The situation is such that roads 50 meters away are not visible even during the day, due to which traffic and normal activities have been affected.
Schools closed from class 1 to 8
In view of the severe cold, DM Priyanka Niranjan has ordered to keep schools from classes 1 to 8 closed on January 19 and 20, i.e. Friday and Saturday. There will be a holiday on Sunday, so schools will open from Monday. If the outbreak of cold and fog increases, there is a possibility of extending the holidays further. Keep in mind that December 25 will already be a public holiday on the occasion of Christmas.
change in school timings
DM Priyanka Niranjan has also changed the school timetable. From December 22, school classes for classes 1 to 8 will now run from 10 am to 3 pm. Only children have been given leave on holiday days, while teachers and non-teaching staff will reach schools on time to conduct special voter revision programs and departmental work.
BSA gave instructions to ensure compliance
After the DM’s order, Basic Education Officer (BSA) Gonda has instructed all the block education officers to ensure strict compliance with the order. It has been said in the order that all recognized government and economic schools will be kept closed.
Thus, in view of the cold and fog in the Terai areas of Eastern UP, holidays and timing changes have been implemented in schools, giving priority to the safety of children.
