Gold-Silver Rate: Silver is touching the sky… crossed 2 lakh, gold also near 1.36 lakh
New Delhi. Silver prices surged by Rs 7,300 on Wednesday on strong demand in domestic and global markets and crossed the record high of Rs 2 lakh per kg for the first time in the national capital. According to All India Bullion Association, the price of silver stood at Rs 2,05,800 per kg on Wednesday. Its closing price on Tuesday was Rs 1,98,500 per kg. In the local bullion market, gold prices rose by Rs 600 to Rs 1,36,500 per 10 grams (including all taxes), while it had closed at Rs 1,35,900 per 10 grams on Tuesday.
In the international market, spot gold price increased by US $ 18.59, or 0.43 percent, to US $ 4,321.06 per ounce. Apart from this, spot silver crossed the mark of $ 66 per ounce for the first time in the foreign market. The price of silver increased by US $ 2.77 or 4.35 percent and reached a new record high of US $ 66.52 an ounce.
