IND vs SA 5th T20I: Hardik Pandya kept his promise to his girlfriend, gave a flying kiss after the stormy fifty

Desk: Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya wreaked havoc in the 5th T20 against South Africa. Hardik, who was chosen Player of the Series, scored a half-century in 16 balls. This is the second fastest half-century scored by an Indian in T20 International matches. Earlier, Yuvraj Singh had scored a half-century in 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

Hardik played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 25 balls with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya revealed that he had promised his girlfriend Mahika Sharma that he would start hitting from the very first ball. Pandya kept his promise as soon as he entered the field. After completing his half-century, Pandya turned towards the stands and gave flying kisses several times towards Mahika Sharma.

Hardik said, “I came to know about it when I came back to the dressing room after getting out. The social media manager told me. My first reaction was that I missed out on getting the first position, but I am happy that Yuvraj Singh is still holding that record.”

He said, “George Linde had bowled well to me in New Chandigarh and that was in my mind. Today the conditions were favorable for me. I took calculated risks, believed in myself and it worked. No matter how many difficulties come your way, the point is that you come back stronger. This journey, preparation and hard work never stops.”
