Marnus Labuschagne catches Ollie Pope with his left hand, video goes viral

New Delhi: Australia has set a huge target of 435 runs for England on the fourth day of the Adelaide Test. The Australian team was all out for 349 runs in its second innings, but the 85-run lead in the first innings presented a challenging target for England. England again had a disappointing start, with two wickets falling for 46 runs in the first 13 overs. Ben Duckett was out for just 4 runs and Ollie Pope was out for 17 runs.

The wicket of Ollie Pope was accompanied by a brilliant catch which caught everyone’s attention. Pat Cummins bowled accurately on the fourth ball of the 10th over. Pope tried to defend the ball, but it went from the outside edge of the bat towards slip. Marnus Labuschagne made an excellent dive and caught the ball with his left hand, causing applause in the stadium.

Head’s brilliant innings

Captain Head started the fourth day on 142 and eventually scored 170. He hit 2 sixes and 16 fours in 219 balls. There was an important partnership of 162 runs for the 5th wicket between Head and Alex Carey. Carey contributed 72 runs after Head, and with his dismissal Australia’s innings ended at 349 runs.

England’s challenge

There is now a big challenge for England. The tension has increased due to the early fall of the first two wickets. The partnership of Head and Carey in Australia’s innings strengthened the team and now England are finding it difficult to reach the target of 435 runs.
