Delhi Schools Air Purifier: The increasing pollution in Delhi has become a matter of serious concern for the city residents. The poisonous air here is fatal for everyone, from children to the elderly. Keeping in mind the continuously increasing AQI level and the health of school children, the Delhi government has taken a very important decision. Recently, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood has announced that air purifiers will be installed in 10 thousand classrooms of government schools in the capital. Its purpose is to provide clean and safe air to the children while studying, so that their health remains better and they can study diligently without any problem.

During a press conference, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood said that to deal with the poisonous air of the capital, the government is taking a step which will have a long-term impact. He said that taking care of children’s health is the top priority of the government. Apart from this, it is our primary duty to provide clean environment in schools. The minister further said that the AQI level in the city increases so much that children start having difficulty breathing and start having health problems. Therefore, so that children can get clean air in schools, we have decided to install air purifiers in the classrooms.
10 thousand classes will be covered in the first phase
Education Minister Ashish Sood said that this scheme will not be implemented in the city all at once but in a phased manner. In the first phase, air purifiers will be installed in 10 thousand classrooms located in different areas of Delhi. After this, if more air purifiers are required, this scheme will be taken forward. He said that children should get clean air so that they can study better. Clean and pure air is very important for the physical and mental development of children, without it their development is not possible.

During the press conference, Ashish Sood targeted the Aam Aadmi Party and said, ‘The solution to a serious problem like pollution cannot be found through show-off. Taking a further taunt, the minister said, ‘We are not the people who show off big degrees and run temporary campaigns like odd-even or red light on-car off. Our government is dealing with the serious problem of pollution through administrative and permanent measures.

Roads will be cleaned along with schools
The Education Minister has also made it clear that his government is not only working to reduce pollution in schools, but we are making continuous efforts to rid the entire city of poisonous air. He further said that the responsibility of reducing pollution in urban areas has been handed over to the Public Works Department (PWD). Apart from this, we have also ordered the department to use the amount of ‘Environment Cess’ for this work.
