New Delhi. The 15-member Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2026 has been announced. There will be a fierce competition between 20 teams in the T20 World Cup starting from 7th February. The final match of the tournament will be played on March 8. India and Sri Lanka are hosting this tournament. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the team. The announcement took place in Mumbai, where captain Suryakumar Yadav and chief selector Ajit Agarkar were also present. The same team will also participate in a five-match T20 series against New Zealand in January. In such a situation, Team India will try to defend the title.

A big surprise was that the current vice-captain Shubman Gill did not get a place in the team. All-rounder Akshar Patel has been appointed vice-captain in his place.
